Advanced Admin Console 2011 Licensing
The Advanced Admin Console 2011 AddIn is free for use on Windows Home Server 2011 and Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Essentials if it’s not domain joined. However, on Windows Small Business Server 2011 Essentials and domain-joined Windows Storage Server 2008 Essentials (= business usage scenarios) the Advanced Admin Console 2011 AddIn can only be used for 30 days.
After that period, business users must either purchase a license or uninstall the AddIn. On Windows Home Server 2011 and non-domain-joined Windows Storage Server 2008 R2, the Advanced Admin Console 2011 AddIn will work until after the trial period but switch to a mode of operation in which it will no longer expose its full feature set.
How to purchase a license
Licenses can be purchased directly from within the Advanced Admin Console 2011 AddIn. Simply click the small “Info”-Icon on the Task Panel to make the About Screen appear:
On the About Screen, click “Purchase license”. This will open your web browser and take you to the Digital River® online store where you can purchase a license for the Advanced Admin Console 2011 AddIn with a few simple steps.
Once you’ve checked out from the online store you’ll receive a confirmation email from Digital River® containing your invoice in digital form (most likely an attached PDF file). Complete your payment by following the steps outlined in this email (only necessary if you didn’t already pay during checkout). Digital River® will inform us when your payment has arrived and we will send you your license file for the Advanced Admin Console 2011 as an email attachment (usually within 48 hours).
It is recommended that you use the 30 day trial period to evaluate the Advanced Admin Console 2011 AddIn before making a purchase.
