Ditto on Charlyx request #1. Saving the last View Mode (i.e. Icons) rather than reverting to Detail View in the Control Panel and Administrative Tasks would be a nice enhancement.

Great job,

Only two questions/sugestions:

1.- For future release (if is posible), could you save preferences over user views ?. When I select to see view option panels to: “icons format”, this preference ins’t save, and I have to select again, ann and so .

2.- After add-in installation, I review all folders options, and in folder: “My Places network”, appeared someone similar to “Alex ….”, What is it ?, I remove it inmediatly, but peharps you forgot remove it before give us this release for download ?

Can you store custum settings like column width, order. I have to change this every time I startup the server and go to your great add-in!!

I love this add-in. I use the custom section to link to the Desktop Icon so the Desktop will show up (no need to use Dos prompt and type explorer). And I link to IE so I can get a browser to pop up to log into some services I have running on WHS.

I’d like to see the Desktop link as one of the main links. Also the ability to move those links around. Some of the default ones I really don’t want to use very often.

For now i don’t have many comments. I sure hope u will be working on any progress on the side.
Indeed consider the amount of downloads as an Honourable deed towards u.

I don’t have any suggestions and I hope to here soon, if I might find any errors in the future. Looking forward to the SP1, since there are some things I hope they worked on. Also the language range should be wider then just English, I prefer Dutch

I think that this add in is absolutely fantastic. It will make it easier to manage my HP MediaSmart Server.

I have a suggestion. Would it be possible to add a button for SHUTDOWN and another button for RESTART?

The Advanced Admin Console is a multilanguage build. The installer user interface might appear in german, but you are not supposed to see it. Please go here (http://www.wegotserved.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=800) to get a step-by-step description of how to install the Advanced Admin Console AddIn.

I relocated the downloads to a new server (under a newly created subdomain). Maybe your ISP’s DSN server does not yet obtain DNS information about the new subdomain. I have verified the new download links and they all work for me. Please try again!

I just hosed my network connection to my WHS by changing the default “WORKGROUP” to my home network workgroup now i can access the server any suggestions on how to fix this. Ack…. WHS does not show up on my network now.

I got a PM from Ron where he told me that his troubles were not caused by my Advanced Console AddIn, but allegedly by the WebGuide AddIn. I want to reassure people that my addin won’t do any harm on their home servers, so here’s an excerpt from his message:

I installed this add on. After I did, i got the mssage the the console would close, and I should reopen it to continue work. When I tried to reopen the console, all I got was the console window, with a solid blue screen, no icons, nothing. Now, when I try and open the console on any computer except the server, all i get is a blue console background. The console does open properly on the server, however. I uninstalled the product, but my console wiondows were not returned back to normal. Anyone know anything about this probem? I would hate to have to do a whole reinstall to fix it. I did try to reinstall the connector software on ther remote computers, but that made no difference in my problem

Great work….was using the Program Launcher Add-In before this came along but that is not without its little annoyances….

I notice that there are left and right arrows on the left of the admin bar. I assume this is for a future release as I can not find where to add my own buttons…there is no configuration tab under settings.

Either way, still great and still going to use it.

Do you have a forum where I can subscribe to be notified of new releases?
