Installed admin console and immediately got the blue screen upon logging back in. How can I fix? I had no issues prior to install!

Albert,

you should try ASoft's WHS AddIn CleanUp Tool:
http://on10.net/blogs/sarahintampa/Add-In-Cleanup-For-Windows-Home-Server

Please read the instructions carefully. You need to connect to your
WHS box via Remote Desktop to use the tool. The WHS AddIn discovery
mechanism is a little clumsy and I know from other users who had
similar problems that the CleanUp tool has worked for them.

my WHS console mucked up (froze except for your app), tried to uninstall your app, got part way through... got message re must close app before completing ; retry, quit, ignore... hit ignore by mistake... now have incomplete un-install.

I managed to re-install WHS console, it runs but shows your app as available to uninstall but is not in the add in bar across the top, nor does your menu show up.

When i select uninstall for your app, the un-install fails.

Do I have to do a system recovery to fix this?

Keith, I can assure you that the installation/uninstallation of the Advanced Admin Console AddIn will definitely not do any harm to your WHS/MediaSmart server. There's also absolutely NO WAY that uninstalling an addin will harm your server in a way that it has to be reset to factory default (unless the uninstall is implemented in an absolutely negligent way and/or the addin had to be classified as malware).
Can you please direct me to the forum thread of the MediaSmart Server group you're referring to. I'd really like to discuss the technical details with the HP Tech!

According to an HP Tech in the (MediaSmart) Server group, I was told- THERE IS A BUG IN THIS ADD-IN WHEN/IF YOU EVER UNINSTALL IT. YOUR SYSTEM/DRIVE WILL (HAVE TO) BE WIPED/RESET TO THE FACTORY DEFAULT LEVEL.

Have you or anyone else ever heard or experienced or experimented with this?

The "Blue Background" is a scenario which is not specific to the
Advanced Admin Console AddIn (just google for Windows Home Server
Console and Blue Background and you will find that many people have
also experienced this problem). At first you could try to reset the
console from the options menu on the WHS console logon screen. If that
doesn't help, please connect to your server via RDP (run mstsc.exe).
User name is Administrator, password is your WHS server password.
Reboot your server from the start menu in your RDP session. After your
server is up again the WHS console should work just fine.
