Follow the directions given here to open a Windows command prompt window from the folder where you stored the downloaded HP update package: http://www.techsupportalert.com/content/how-open-windows-command-prompt-any-folder.htm
Enter MS251027311ServerUpdate.exe /a on the command prompt. An installation wizard should now popup and say that it’s preparing installation. After the preparation the wizard should display the “Select network location” dialog shown in the article.

No man, it doesn’t work. Ive tried with 4 different computers in my home, no go. Installation will start immediately after doubleclicking the shortcut. Must be something in my settings.

Any chance You’d be kind enough to tell more about the cmd option? I’m not too familiar using it.

@hakke The procedure described in the article also works unter Windows 7 and Vista. If you're having trouble you can also open a command prompt and run the .exe with the command line parameter /a from there. Please note that the installation wizard will start but it will not ask where to install the application but where to unpack the files to,

Great. Just one thing. These directions don’t work for win7 or vista. Need to have xp (I think) installed to do this. Both win7 and vista start installation after double clicking the shotcut.

Any workaround for this? I really need the app.

I have realy been looking for a solution like this, since my Firefly stops just 2 minutes after being started.
